    【例】A group of researchers and scientists from China and other countries are working together to help increase knowledge and appreciation of China’s ancient cultural heritage.
    【译】来自中国和其他**的一组研究人员和科学家正在共同努力,帮助提高人们对中国古代文化遗产的认识水平和欣赏水平。
    【析】A group of researchers and scientists的主语并不是A group,而是researchers and scientists;A group of的成分是量词词组修饰主语。根据主谓一致原则,谓语和researchers and scientists一致,因此这里用的是are,而不是is。
    【拓】It is obvious that if students value highly their test scores, then a great amount of their self-respect is put in the number. 显而易见的是,如果学生太过看重考试分数,那么他们就会把大量的自尊放在分数上面。
    There are a number of other reasons that might explain why you want to garden. 有许多其他的原因也许能够解释你为什么想要做园艺。(there be句型中,there be部分是谓语,后面的部分是主语;a number of只是修饰主语other reasons的量词词组。)

    【要点1】在现在进行时的被动语态中,being done这个结构是固定的,并且必须放在am/is/are的后面。being用于赋予进行时含义,助动词am/is/are是be动词在现在时下的形态,在这里用于赋予现在时下的被动语态含义。
    【例句】The laws being revised to protect the rights of women and children. (×)
    The laws are being revised to protect the rights of women and children. (√)
    为保障妇女儿童的权利,正在修改法律。
    【要点2】take care of、look after、talk about、think of等以介词结尾的短语动词用于现在进行时的被动语态时,其中的介词不可省略。
    【例句】The baby is being taken good care by its parents. (×)
    The baby is being taken good care of by its parents. (√)
    这个婴儿正被父母照顾得很好。
    【要点3】系动词或不及物动词本身不能用于被动语态,所以也不能用于现在进行时的被动语态。部分词在英语中习惯用主动表被动,这时也不用现在进行时的被动语态。
    【例句】(1) Every word is being disappeared from my head. (×)
    Every word disappears from my head. (√) (disappear是不及物动词。)
