《汉英双解新华字典》是商务印书馆国际有限公司根据《新华字典》1998年修订本翻译、编辑而成。它完整地保存了《新华字典》的全部原文和所有功能,并在此基础上对原字典中的字、词、句、文及其他资料用英文逐一解释,使其集汉英两种释义于一体,一书两用、汉英互补、相得益彰。
英语释义由我国**英语专业人员完成并延请英美语言学家审订,既保持了原《新新华字典》的语言风格和特点,又汲取了现代英语之精华。
