《新编大学英语(第二版)快速阅读》严格按照2004年教育部颁布的《大学英语课程教学要求(试行)》中关于快速阅读的要求编写而成。
本教材遵循理论与实践相结合的原则，讲练结合，每级分为两大部分：**部分讲授快速阅读常用技能；第二部分为快速阅读综合技能训练。注重训练的渐进性和系统性，共10个训练单元。每个训练单元包含两篇阅读文章，每篇文章后配有两项练习。
本书为其中的第2册。
本套书共四级，与《新编大学英语》(第二版)主教材相配合，旨在帮助学生进行系统的、有针对性的快速阅读训练。掌握基本阅读技能，培养良好阅读习惯,提高阅读效率。
